Assassin

I suppose I've been either playing too much Assassin's Creed or am just so thoroughly in love with the game and it's concepts (especially part 2). So i guess here's my fan art for it.

There's a small twist on the medium used here. Base sketch done on Sony Ericsson's Xperia X10 phone and colors on Photoshop CS4 as usual.

The Lone Rock

Whew! This was one heck of a piece to do.. and why the sigh of relief heading this post? Well, that's because there was a TIGHT deadline for this one. But I managed to finish it in time and i'm quite pleased with the turn out.

Done from scratch on CS4 using an Intuos 3.

Fire Benders

Wow! So after a LONG time, there's an upload after the last one with only a day's break in-between.
Anyway, this piece began with no direction whatsoever. I just kept painting over shapes and stuff I already put on the canvas and it gradually evolved into this.
This was due to a certain talk with Roshan this morning about ''exploration'' and the assassination of ''The Comfort Zone'' that we tend to get used to once we find something we know we can draw. We tend to get scared of exploration and refrain from venturing out into areas we're not familiar with and that leads to a certain ''mundane repetition'' in our work. Thanks bro. The eye-opening helped.

As usual, done with CS4 and my trusty Intuos 3. Also, I might upload a walkthrough of the process for this one sometime later so you can see where it started from.

The Bunny in the Moon

The feeling never went away.. It's as fresh as the first time it happened.. You think I'd be used to it by now.. But I remember everything about her.. Her smell.. Her smile.. The way she blinked her eyes.. The way her hair fell. Sometimes it's almost like she never left.. just sometimes.
You know that bunny people talk of? The one they say you can see when you look at the moon?
Well, Selena always loved bunnies.. those cute fluffy little things..
I guess she'll always be my bunny.. My snow bunny.

Point Blank

Alright! Time for the narcissist in me to rear his head again! This was a quickie done at work, using CS4 & an Intuos 3, of me and a gun. I'm more of a sword/knife person though so I thought "why not just this once?"

NOTE: If you look carefully, the handle on the spectacles isn't a "rough" bit, it's because one of my spectacle handles is fine while the other broke due to one alcohol-based night and resulted in "handyman repair" mode the next time alcohol was around, by me manually sitting down for half an hour an attaching a sturdy wire to my glasses with a LOT of winding and winding and winding.

I Am Genius!

Yes, I know I've been inactive for quite a while and I suppose most of that credit goes to the fact that I've been tied down with work.

OBSERVATION: "Clients" are strange beings (most of them atleast).

NOTE: Alcohol is awesome! Ladies, the way to a guy's heart is through their stomach (or lower regions in most cases I suppose) but with me, sing me a Whiskey Lullaby and I'll do thy bidding.

Mariachi

Ok..here's me starting off the 1st of March.

Now, the reason for the title is because the only song playing through the creation of this piece was the Desperado soundtrack, El Mariachi by the Gypsy Kings. Hmm.. now, I'm gonna keep this post short for the profound reason that I really don't know what else to say.

Dinner Time

Alright, so that being said, there's no major plot behind this one. I wanted to draw a girl eating up a guy and have the shot in a way where she's caught doing it midway. Here's to the Killer Bunnies, should they exist because incase they do and someday some sh*t's gonna go down, I wanna be on their good side.

The next one that goes into "The Looking Glass" category - Cupid. The little round angel wearing diapers is just as real as love being all rainbows and butterflies. So here's Cupid as how he's meant to be through The Looking Glass.

Also, for the record, I'm not a love hater, I'm happily committed and anyone who has been for quite awhile, will agree with my take on love not being a bed of roses.

Starry, Starry Night

So the time of pink hearts, ribbons, mushy goodness & caresses under moonlight has come once again. Well, this Valentine's Day, I'm parting the clouds before a city in flames to reveal the stars. No clouds today, even if that means an entire city going up in ash!
"Nay a mortal, nay a city can come between us for 'twill be the last that city breathes" - Mrinalini Nayar. [For those of you that're wondering, she's the bunny lady with the bunny song!]

Apart from that, Happy Valentine's Day !!! May the towns you set ablaze be as brightly lit with flame and alive with the songs of the incinerated as mine is!!!

Star Gazers

Now, it just so happens that once upon a time a guy realised how happy he was when he looked at the stars and decided to start a collection of them. "Starvesting" it was called and a few shots of what it looks like can be seen on my friend Rosh's Blog.

So, little did this reaper of stars know that he was being observed by a certain scarf-wearing individual for quite a while who silently smoked his cigarette and wondered what The Starvester did with all these stars he was collecting. His curisoity got the better of him which led the Cigarette Smoking Scarf-Wearer to pay him a visit. The two of them got talking about how to put the stars to use.

In the beginning, it was intended to be just a bunch of random doodles created using the little shiny glitters sprinkled across a bluish-black backdrop but as time went by, strange beings that called themselves "Astronomers" came into existence. Well, trust them to complicate something as simple as doodles with glitter and incorporate science and theories into them. Thus, was the birth of the zodiacs...
...and now, there's still a sack full of stars remaining.. any ideas?

Snow Bunny

Ok, this was done for the lady. As for what the rabbit is saying, well, my periodically insane girlfriend has this affinity for rabbits and sometimes acts like one. So one afternoon when I was taking her to lunch, I start with "Baby, where do you.." & was interrupted with her ranting of "you no bunny.. I snow bunny.. yu no bunny.. I snow bunny" and this took on a repetitive pattern for the next five minutes everytime I tried saying something until we were two idiots on a bike chanting the same thing.

The Looking Glass - Festivities: Frosty

Well, this is the first of a series I plan on doing - "The Looking Glass" which is basically a collection of the alter images/egos of popular characters as I imagine them to be on the flip-side and classified under different categories like 'Festivities', 'Super Heroes', etc. A reality check of sorts that falls on the lines of 'everything isn't always what it seems' (excuse the cliché). :)

Sea Titan

So, after what feels like quite awhile, here is the colored version of the Sea Titan. It took me a couple of days (not at a stretch).

Knowledge Bank: Sea Titans a.k.a. Water Titans, Aqua Titans are mythical creatures that have control over any forms of water from lakes to entire oceans.

Also, the more I look at it, this guy could also pass of as a version of Neptune (Neptunus): God of the Seas.

Sea Titan Lineart.

Well, as the first submission to my blog [apparently I blog now :) ]. this is a Sea Titan or an Aqua Titan.

This was a suggestion from "heavens-champion" of Deviant Art. He asked if I ever did a Water Titan, explained exactly what it was & since that was my first suggestion for 2010 A.D., I decided to do it.

So, along with this being my first submission, this also is my first piece for this year!
